Read all the information you can, as soon as you can. Preferrably BEFORE the process starts. Knowledge is power, and time goes faster than than a greased weasel. If you are denied, they will be engaging the waiting game, and most likely you wont have much time to argue your case, IF they will even listen to what you have to present. If someone calls with information concerning anything at all in reference to actions being taken against you, ask them to send it in an email. If not, send yourself an email with everything you can remember from the converstaion. It creates a Memo with a time date stamp, which makes things a lot easier when trying to remember who said what, when and where. Above all, stay cool. Keep your composure and keep your thoughts, notes, letters and requests as brief as possible. Most agencies are so busy that if they see a book coming at them, they may just slide it to the side until a later time. Be curt, but remain professional. And once again, dont delay in writing your Government Representitives once you are sure your case has merit. That is what they are there for, and this is right up their alley. |
